The project addresses emerging risks and opportunities resulting from the digital and green transitions.

Our Mission

Our mission is to strengthen Europe’s security ecosystem by accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies and innovative processes that improve protection and resilience. We seek to establish a long-term, strategic European partnership among companies of all sizes, with a focus on SMEs, to address physical, digital, and hybrid threats. By leveraging digital and green transitions, CITADEL supports integrated approaches that enhance both security and sustainability.

What we do

CITADEL supports innovation, networking, and cross-border collaboration to help stakeholders, especially SMEs, develop, test, and scale advanced security solutions. Through cascade funding and targeted cluster activities, we accelerate the adoption of digital technologies such as AI and IoT and strengthen the resilience of critical infrastructures. We also facilitate strategic matchmaking and ecosystem-building to reduce vulnerabilities, improve preparedness for climate-related disruptions, and foster a more connected European approach to security and resilience.
