The funded projects are distributed by country as follows: 36% France, 28% Spain, 16% Greece, 12% Romania and 8% Poland.
After one intense month of joint evaluation operated by the GALATEA consortium partners and associated experts, the results have been announced to the applicants. The selected projects will start by June 2021. The list of laureates is detailed in the table below:

A second opportunity to get financial support
A second Innovation Call offering financial support to SMEs will be launched in autumn.
Before the Open Call closes, interested SMEs will get the chance to discuss the GALATEA challenges and meet potential partners during a second round of Innovation Clubs and B2B meetings which will be held in September 2021.
Four Innovation Clubs sessions will be organised, one for each GALATEA domain, to encourage SMEs in proposing innovating solutions to the challenges identified and to form cross-regional consortia.
Afterwards, a B2B matchmaking event is planned to enable SMEs to meet and consolidate concrete partnerships.
Keep an eye on our website, registration link and details on the 2nd Open Call will be posted soon.
GALATEA had received €3,67 million from the Horizon 2020 programme of the European Commission of which 79% will be dedicated to the support of SMEs through direct financial support (€2,18 million), services provided by GALATEA partners and other activities organized by the project. GALATEA expects to support at least 100 European SMEs for the innovation of products or processes, development of large-scale demonstrators or markets extension.
